Comment re: photo: I feel like it's so symbolic of how African Americans must feel about white people at large. Maybe not all black people feel that way, but some, especially older people who remember being treated like less than human beings. And for someone who never heard about this event, I appreciated learning about it through a photo essay. Photo essays are my FAVORITE learning medium!
