So my new focus on the green front is personal care. I found this great website:
The website has tons on information on green living.
Specifically, the True Beauty section has recipes for face cleansers and moisturizers (olive oil!), body scrubs, etc. So simple and cheap! And good for the environment. I can't imagine the waste product generated by packaging the face lotion I normally use. I slathered on some olive oil this morning and was surprised--it doesn't feel greasy at all! I will keep you posted on my progress in this area.

Let's get real for a second here, can we? While I find it admirable that you have goals, we both know that you aren't going to make your own beauty products. So, just buy them like normal people, k, peaches? They make biodegradable cleansers, ya know.
AND, they even make cleansers in packaging that allows you to plant it and basil plants will grow! It's true. I saw it in a magazine.
I had a college friend who would wash with rocks and crystals....boy did he stink
On this front, I'll just put a little plug in for Lush products. They have a line of solid shampoo bars (and one solid conditioner) which I absolutely adore, AND there's no plastic bottle. The shampoos last for ages, and they're great for traveling.
