LET ME IN THE SOUND!!!

I got text approval last night to buy tickets for the U2 show in Chicago. Megan, Heather and I will be flying out and spending all day Sept 12th rubbing elbows with our fellow U2 nerds (P&D included).

If you haven't heard, U2 has a new album. I love it. Although I will say it's hard to get too "into" an album *dated* without playing it over and over on your walkman late at night when you're supposed to be asleep the way I did when I was a kid. But still. There are several songs that grab me--like "Magnificent" and "No Line on the Horizon" and "Breathe".

I also love "Get on Your Boots". BTW, I am a U2.com MEMBER and in the "Boots" group for purchasing presale tickets. Very suddenly, I realize what I have been missing all my life - sexy boots!! I've looked, but all we have out here are UGG-style boots. I might just have to get me some in Chicagee.

That is a pic of the stage, btw. The stage is going to be 360. As Megan said last night, we hope the members of U2 take their Dramamine before each performance, otherwise: *Bono, stumbling around stage and finally running sideways into the ground*

I am EXTREMELY excited to get to stay with P&D again in the SAME YEAR! Regular visits are how it was SUPPOSED to be when they moved. We really should put our agreement in writing.

That is some crazy exciting news! I haven't heard the new album yet, but now I think I'm going to have go home and download it tonight.

Off-topic: Jenn, that is a very professional looking pic of you.

Thanks, Carrie! It's my pic from work. I think it looks superhero-ish, what with the angle and my hands on my hips and all. I hope I'm not breaking copyright by using it as my profile pic. I'll just wait for a cease and desist letter before I change it.
