They are not kidding. We were mid-60s Friday, and 50s through the weekend. This morning at 3:30am, we hit our high for today: 23. Tomorrow's high: ZERO. And that doesn't factor in wind-chill. Ah, Colorado and her schizophrenic weather!
I had quite a time of it trying to scrape the thick layer of ice from my windshield this morning. That took about 20 minutes and I probably should have tried to get more of the ice off before I got on the highway, but I arrived safely! Really, I should have taken the bus.
They are also saying my commute home should be a doozy...

We're supposed to get between 12 and 25 inches of snow (depending on who you listen to). Ours starts tonight (from a smaller system) and really picks up tomorrow evening. They are also predicting sub zero wind chills, 25 foot waves on the lake, and 50 mph wind gusts (which should make all that snow lovely to deal with). Will post pictures! All I can think is, "poor Fergie!"
Are you guaranteed a snow day tomorrow? That's INSANE!! You'd think the storm would peter out by the time it gets to you, but guess not. I was thinking the same thing re: Fergie.
Guaranteed snow day? No. It will be PTO. We never close. Ever. But I can tell you that this chap will not be trudging through 18 inches of snow just to go to work! Thank the heavens for remoting in to work.
I would expect that if all this materializes, I will be at work tomorrow, will have a horrible commute home and will be staying in Wednesday. After all, someone has to dig a path for Miss Fergie.
