This is the beer I had at a bar this weekend. It tasted exactll like banana bread. I'd recommend it.
This is my favorite picture of Sheila of all time. P took this one night using his camera phone (with flash). The lights were all out, and he had no idea how the picture would come out. I still laugh whenever I look at it.

The banana flavor comes from an ester created by the yeast in the beer. Probably a Belgian or Bavarian yeast strain was used. If you've ever had a really good hefe-weizen it has banana and clove undertones. I want to try that beer by the way!
I was wrong. They actually put real bananas in the beer. Very odd.
I love banana bread, and I love beer, but I'm not sure I'd love that combination.
I'm here to tell you that you would love it.
When I got it, the server just smiled at me. Then the person that brought it to the table did the same thing. I was thinking, "Great. I just got myself a pint of shitty beer". Then the server came back and said, "Isn't that the BEST beer?!" And it was. Well, not the best, I suppose, but really very tasty.
