Who doesn't like U2? This one's for Jenn, who I'm sure is even more excited then I am. I just downloaded the new U2 single "Get On Your Boots" on iTunes. It's good - different from most of their previous work. I'm not a music critic so I won't try to describe it eloquently. But I just really like it. Plus who wouldn't love a song with the chorus "Sexy boots / get on your boots". It's lighthearted. By the way, did you all see Bono and the boys perform for Obama on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial? "City of Blinding Lights" will forever take on new meaning to me.

As a die-hard U2 fan, I have to say I do love the new single--it has a new sound and it's damn catchy.
Also, I can't wait to post a pic of MY sexy boots!
As for the "We Are One" concert... I actually got annoyed with Bono's stage antics. He wasn't over the top or anything, just too maudlin, I thought, for the occasion.
However--having been at TWO U2 concerts where they OPENED with City of Blinding Lights and then to hear that song as Obama came onstage (on tv, but also when we saw him in Denver) elevated that song to a new level for me, too!
